Bachelor's Grove: Tumbled headstones peeking from damp overgrowth, fog, and a house that's there one moment and gone the next. Notes of soil, moss, forest floor, myrrh, and white musk.
Black North (Reformulated): Untended headstones at the edge of a shadowy forest. Lichen, brambles, despair, and longing. Notes of vetiver, cedar, bergamot, lavender, coriander, musk, sandalwood, frankincense, amber, and those forgotten plants which flourish in shade.
Black Smoke: Based on War of the Worlds. Notes of lemon rind, sweet lime, yuzu, and mint leaves.
Bonaventure: The heady scent of magnolia blossoms before a spring rain, and a long, tall glass of spiked lemonade. Notes of magnolia, rose, jasmine, strawberry, granny smith apple, mulberry, black currant, and rain.
Botanomancy: Fruit-laced herbal smoke and spicy glowing embers. Notes of fig, apple, lemon, ginger, sage, frankincense, caramel, cinnamon, and smoke.
Cartomancy: A deck of well-handled cards, a plume of incense, and the warmth of a dozen candles. Notes of nag champa, patchouli, dragon's blood resin, and a bit of milky honey to tempt the Other Side.
Crime Brûlée: Arson? Oh, you mean crime brûlée? Notes of smoke, embers, dry wood, vanilla, burnt sugar, black pepper, light musk, tobacco, amber, spiced caramel, and just the slightest hint of gasoline (don't worry, it burns off).
Dark Bright Wood: After the snow, we can see for miles by moonlight. The grove is still dark. Notes of clove, cinnamon, lemon, balsam, patchouli, bare wood, and lush vanilla cake accord.
Dirt Nap: Six feet of earth makes equals of us all. A warm blanket of soft earth, and a sweet cup of chocolate to toast the departed. Notes of dirt, sugar, and chocolate. Gender neutral, just like death.
Ectoplasm: Just a bit of light seancing and then we'll have tea and pie, yes? Notes of pineapple, lemon, and key lime pies, made with buttery dough and topped with coconut vanilla meringue.
Fake Carl: A silly inside joke from our Facebook group turned cult favorite, now in our permanent collection. Notes include Valencia orange, bergamot, anjou pear, blossoming apple tree, star jasmine, vanilla, cedarwood, well-worn leather, black sandalwood, patchouli, oud wood oil, birch smoke, tonka, and toasted marshmallows. (Smoky. Sweet. Earthy. Smells nothing like Real Carl.)
Field Dust: We can see the clouds of it in the distance. We keep the windows closed so it won't notice us. Notes of white pumpkin, cocoa butter, musk, coconut, orange, Granny Smith apples, vanilla oats, sandalwood, amber, tonka, and warm spices.
Footfalls: Empty halls in a sun-warmed farmhouse, cobwebs clinging to wisps of pipe smoke and cologne. Shh- did you hear that? Notes of patchouli, cherry pipe tobacco, cinnamon leaf, clove bud, black pepper, white cedar, amber, tea leaf, bergamot, and just a bit of marshmallow.
Funeral Biscuits: My darling, we've got to stop meeting this way -- but at least the buffet is laden with our favorite indulgences. Notes include roasted pecans, warm almond biscotti, smoked vanilla, maple syrup, dark patchouli, and a drizzle of chocolate.
The Gravedigger's Daughter: A heaping bowl of fresh fruit topped with cream, and a side of rose tea. Notes include sandalwood, orange zest, pineapple juice, tangerine, grapefruit, cream, rose petals, jasmine, musk, and bergamot.
Greenbrier Ghost: The girl visits her mother in dreams, murmuring of crime and cruelty. The husband never stood a chance. Notes of black amber, patchouli, spanish moss, bergamot, oak, and frankincense.
Grim & Tonic: A G&T, but without the hangover. Crisp, clean, and makes you go "Ahhhhhh" while sprawled on the chaise lounge. Notes include blue spruce, citron, lime, lingonberry, and sparkling tonic water.
The House Doesn't Want You: The strange creaks know your name and the chimney bricks watch you go. Notes of worn wooden floorboards, pear, raspberry, maple vanilla, freshly picked Gala apples, pipe tobacco, leather, musk, and a woodstove burning the last of the chairs.
House of Usher: Chilly, broken stones covered in moss. Rotting wood, creeping ivy, and something sinister lurking beneath the damp leaves. Notes of walnut, sandalwood, oak moss and leaves, myrrh, patchouli, pine, bergamot, cedar, fig, lemon, and white amber.
Little Red Dots: Little red spots on the concrete outside. Do you think anyone'll notice the axe? Notes include cranberries, red apples, ripe oranges, pine, rum, cinnamon sugar, and caramel.
The Moss Maiden: She's the brilliantly green and lush creature who lives along the stream, where the moss grows thickly and is doted with tiny flowers. Notes include fern, damp undergrowth, moss accord, fresh water, and a light citrus blend.
Mount Auburn: A dizzying array of all the flora that buds in Massachusetts. Fragrant, fruity blossoms and towering trees shading gentle, winding paths. Notes of raspberry, melon, honeysuckle, lilac, wisteria, and spruce.
Mourning Joe: Coffee sweetened with vanilla, chocolate, and maple syrup, served up in an oak mug as you survey your domain. Notes of vanilla, cream, cardamom, chocolate, maple syrup, coffee, amber, sandalwood, patchouli, and oak.
Necromancy: A cold stone altar, covered in crawling vines. Heady incense. Dark words. Notes of sandalwood, spicy Spanish moss, ylang ylang, hay, cinnamon, gingery rum, tobacco, neroli, and birch.
Not A Deer: ...Not anymore. We shouldn't linger. Notes of cedarwood, chestnuts, sandalwood, maple, oak, tonka, suede, clove, spiced vanilla, amber, and a three-tobacco blend.
Please Wave Back: We wave at our friends. We wave at our neighbors. We wave at the strange shapes in the trees. Notes of bubbly ginger ale with sweet maraschino cherries and a splash of fresh cranberry-apple juice.
Pointe Aux Barques (Reformulated): Waves slamming against the old lighthouse, and a breeze carrying the scent of mourning flowers. Notes of lily of the valley, rose, cyclamen, sandalwood, sea kelp, ocean breeze, bergamot, citrus zest, clove, and pepper.
Poor Farm: Overgrown grass, tangled undergrowth, wildflowers, the memory of fresh linens, and distant, greener pastures. Notes of sage, moss, fern, sweet grasses, green wood, and chamomile.
Red Death: Deadly red decadence. Lush Bing cherries coated in rich dark chocolate, fruit soaked in champagne, smoky spices, and a glossy ballroom floor splattered with something rather sanguine while the outside turns to rot. Notes of rich potting soil, cherry, chocolate, eucalyptus, amber, geranium, black cardamom, patchouli, bergamot, cashmere, and sandalwood.
The Sad Hour: A gentle lilac-scented breeze blows across a covered mirror, a stopped clock, and a black sash upon the door. May it bring peace. Notes of newly flowered lilac, dry amber, and vanilla.
Someone Tell Lady Luck That I'm Stuck Here: Someone gimme my shot, or I'll rot here. Notes include bamboo, ginger, verbena, sweet peaches, lemongrass, and fresh rain.
Tell-Tale: A taste of feverish autumn: Blood pounding, madness rising, a heart thumping beneath a warm wooden floor. Notes of pumpkin, apples, oak leaves, oak moss, cedar, musk, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
Tornado Green: The light is dim and watery. Pressure makes your ears pop, and suddenly, it's far too quiet. Notes of windswept leaves and leaning pine trees, black currant, rose oxide, elemi resin, amber, plum lemonade, and distant rain.
